Girls Who Code
Girls Who Code is an organization on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. The TCPLS Girls Who Code Club is free after-school program for grades 6-12. We teach our girls (and they teach us!) coding skills and the power of community as we create a computer science impact project.
Restarting at the beginning of spring 2021, our Club will be learning the coding concepts of loops, variables, conditionals and functions that form the basis of all programming languages as we work to complete a computer science impact project that solves a real-world problem in our community.
Check back later to register to join the Club!
In the meantime, check out Girls Who Code at Home. This free series is availabe for download to anyone who wants to assess the activities. Released every Monday, each activity – some online, some offline, of varying levels of difficulty – features a woman in tech who pioneered innovative technology.
