TCPLS is a Funding Network of the Foundation Center. As a member of the Foundation Center's nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies, we provide visitors with free public access to grantmaker and grant directories, books on fundraising, grantwriting, and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center's electronic databases. The fully searchable databases include detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation's top funders.
The Funding Network is located in the Reference Department of the Thomasville Library, and is available anytime the library is open. Appointments are suggested for those who wish to have an in-depth orientation to the collection and its uses. Contact the Reference Department at (229) 225-5252 for more information.
Training is available for patrons interested in learing to use the Foundation Directory and Individual Directory Online databases. Two training sessions will be scheduled during the year, but patrons may schedule additional training sessions with the Reference desk. The free hands-on training (must be familiar with computers) is designed to help you search for grants using the Foundation Directory online. Contact Perida Mitchell to register for the class or call (229) 225-5252 ext. 102.
