Assisted Living Visits

We visit Thomas County assisted living facilities monthly for residents who may have challenges getting to the library.  Once a month, we bring a curated selection of books to each facility for interested residents to borrow and read, and we pick them up on our next monthly visit.  Residents do not need a library card when borrowing through Assisted Living Visits.  The facilities currently on the roster are:

-Woodleaf Senior Care | First Thursday of the month
-Southern Pines Senior Living | Second Thursday of the month
-The Residences at Oak Grove | Third Thursday of the month
-Legacy Village at Plantation Manor | Third Thursday of the month

For more information, call (229) 225-5252 or email information@tcpls.org.

Story Walk at Paradise Park

The Library has installed a permanent Story Walk in downtown's Paradise Park.  Our Story Walk consists of weather-proof display boards spacing out a story book over a looping half mile trail through the park.  The story book is changed once a month, offering  a new story on your walk.  The Story Walk is a great way to get active and immerse yourself in nature all while enjoying the benefits of the Library.
